Alternatively, if you live in Brisbane or on the Sunshine Coast you can come in and see our consultant who will make a template for you and discuss your needs.
This service is totally FREE when you purchase your hair from us. Then once your hair arrives you can return to HLCQ and have it cut and fitted.

THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN FILLING OUT YOUR CUSTOM ORDER
TEMPLATE
Enclose a worn hair system that fits your head well or a template(you can either make this yourself) or use the one in our custom fitting kit.
BASE DESIGN
Please tell us what your preferred attachment method and whether you prefer a skin/polyurethane base or a lace/ mesh base. This will help us to determine the best possible base design for you. However if you wish to have the same base as the spare hair system you have sent to us simply write on the order form “base as per sample hair system”.
Skin bases are non permeable. They come in different thickness from extremely fine skin to a thicker polyurethane. The full bond adhesive cannot seep through the base, therefore they can be more suitable for a hot climate.
Lace bases are an open weave or mesh. Probably the most undetectable base, as once bonded to the skin the base seems to disappear. However if you are using a lace base I advise that you always have two hair systems in use as cleaning the bonding agent out of the lace can be a little time consuming. It’s best if you can leave it to soak.
Combination bases are probably the most popular. You can combine the undetectable lace front for your hairline with a skin base or a mesh base with a poly perimeter. This way you can use tape around the perimeter and bond the front lace hair line down for a more natural look. You can use a clear boomerang tape on the lace front if you do NOT wish to bond it to the skin.
Colour
When choosing your hair colour, there are some important things to remember.
If you should decide to send us your hair sample, you should provide a sample from the back of your head, one from the sides and one from the top(if you have any hair on top.) Remember that most people’s hair is a little darker at the back and a little lighter on the top and sides. Therefore if you just send a sample of hair from the back of your head, the hair system could be a little dark for you on top. Alternatively you can choose your hair colour from our custom fitting kit.
If your hair is starting to grey you may be more grey at the sides than the back, so to get a perfect match please provide hair samples from these different areas of your head.
If you are sending us one of your old hair systems to duplicate please include current hair samples of your own hair as the hair in the old system may have faded.
Density
The density of your hair system is very important as if your hair is very fine, then a too dense hair system will not blend in with your own hair. As you get older your hair gets thinner and you need to take this into account when choosing the density as a thick mop of hair will not look natural as you mature. Also take into account as you get older you may want to create more recession to your base so that your hair system looks natural for your age.
Wave
Even if you think your hair is straight it is better to order your hair system with a slight wave as this just gives the hair a little body making it far easier to style.
